The grounds, which include a private 15-acre lake, are teeming with wildlife such as badgers, foxes, deer and all kinds of bird life including grebe, heron and the resident swan family.
The Crane Farm holiday cottage offers 5 star self-catering accommodation within secluded, peaceful surroundings, which include a large fenced garden area for peace of mind with the children. A perfect base for exploring the local area and just idyllic for a relaxing, stress relieving break.
The house is in the pretty Cotswold village of South Cerney, and is within 4 miles of the beautiful old market town of Cirencester. Well within reach are Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Oxford, Tetbury, Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Upper and Lower Slaughter, even the Forest of Dean is well within a day trip.
Cirencester boasts a stunning 15th century church and was the capital city of Roman Britain, then named Corinium. The newly refurbished Corinium Museum contains fascinating displays of Roman artefacts and history with lots of hands on displays for children, also of interest is a Roman Amphitheatre and the Brewery Arts Centre. Further afield are Chedworth Roman Villa and Westonbirt Arboretum.
Adjacent to a new golf course, Crane Farm is situated close to the Cotswold Water Park which has many amenities including water skiing, sailing, canoeing, wind-surfing and also Keynes Country Park, with its own beach, café, boating and a great deal more for a family day out!
